A first vacation for a couple is really special, it is when they get to see how each other is away from everything they both know. I got that chance in December, when my boyfriend, Matt and I took a trip to Nashville, TN. Music City is not just country music, just take a walk down Broadway and you’ll be able to hear pretty much anything.
While the one block strip makes for a beautiful backdrop, I loved the little city skyline mural on the corner of Broadway and 5th; right down the street from the “Mother Church of Country Music,” the famous Ryman Auditorium. Of course I wanted to get a few pictures of it, but it as a painted brick backdrop for Matt turned out great. It also worked out that he fit the “country style” with his blue flannel shirt and jeans.
Matt was great to work with, while he does get in front of the camera every once in awhile with me and the camera on a tripod; this was his first time by himself, and he did an amazing job. From classic black and white to full color, I had a really hard time picking which pictures to show all of you.
Matt was not the only one being photogenic, the city itself has this vibe of old meets new and you can see that in the brick work and hear it in the sounds of today’s music.
I am looking forward to visiting the amazing Nashville, TN again.
