Marlton, NJ Three Month Old Pictures | Easton

When you’re a new mom you want all the pictures you can have of your new bundle of joy. After all, they change so much in just the first three months. I joined Erin and her son Easton at their home, for his three month session. Our session was actually on the day Easton turned three months, which was fun and doesn’t happen often.

3 months

Because Easter was not too far away from when we did our session, we included in some easter fun with Easton’s three month old session.

An Athlete’s Prom | Washington Township, NJ

An Athlete’s Prom in Washington Township, NJ

For me, I loved playing sports, hiking, and camping, the pictures I took at prom were kind of like my school pictures. In front of a backdrop that looked nice, but told no story as to who I was.  That’s when I got the idea prom pictures should be taken at a place that means something to you and your date.

PROM… it’s like a magical word when you’re in high school. It kind of is! The glitz and glamour, the dresses and hair do’s, the tux’s; OF COURSE it’s one of the highlights of Junior and Senior year! And why wouldn’t it be? In my area, prom is like a mini wedding, but that makes for a very memorable night.

If you are an athlete, why not combine the glamour of prom with your passion?! When Renae asked me to do her pictures for her junior prom, I incorporated soccer since her and her date have played pretty much their whole lives. A year later we headed out with a few of Renae’s friends and played off the athlete’s glamorous night.

Shannon and Erin play softball, while Renae is a soccer player; being able to show off their love of sports and love of fashion was so much fun.

Love and Joy.

One Month Old Session in Marlton, NJ | Easton

One Month Old Session in Marlton, NJ | Easton

I was so excited when I got the call from Erin about doing her son’s 1 month old portraits. Erin had told me she wanted to do pictures, and just like most things before we knew it, a month had passed. I arrived at Erin’s shortly after noon and found the perfect place to take Easton’s adorable pictures. The lighting was beautiful, and there was enough room for my setup and for me to crawl around the backdrops. Once I got set up, we got Easton ready, and I got him posed; although he did not really care for the poses I picked. He was wide awake as he had a little nap before I got there. Easton would watch me as I picked up my camera and then would wiggle out of the wrap or pose. He even stuck his tongue out at me!

A Hunter’s Portrait Session in New Castle, PA

A Hunter’s Portrait Session in New Castle, PA

Wow, I still am in shock that I did this session. I had a blast shooting with Andrew, but my heart was pounding and possibly in my throat. I found a new collage last year that I wanted to try out, but I needed a hunter to ‘model’ for me or as Andrew kept saying, ‘posing.’ We did our shoot on Christmas Eve morning, while Matt and I were out in the Pittsburgh area visiting his family and my soon to be family and some amazing new friends.

I originally thought Andrew only did rifle hunting, with this I knew that the gun would be unloaded. A couple of days before Andrew sent me a text asking what he should bring; I was confused, until Matt told me that Andrew also did archery. I was excited about being able to do both archery and rifle, but I was also becoming really nervous. (My only experience with archery was when I was at girl scout camp and my sister was the only one who could hit the target.) Matt and I arrived at Andrew’s on a misty, cloud filled morning, Andrew grabbed his bow and arrow and we headed out to the woods. We found the perfect spot! Andrew lifted the bow up and pulled the string and arrow back and I grabbed a few shots.

Of course, I wanted a shot of him facing me because it would be an amazing shot!

Above is the scariest shot that I have taken so far in my life.

But look how amazing this compilation looks!

High School Junior Portraits in the Snow | Maddy

High School Junior Portraits in the Snow | Maddy

Maddy and I met last year through Renae, and worked together this past fall on her soccer collage with her brother. I was so excited to get to work with Maddy again and this time not from the sidelines of a soccer field. During last week’s snow storm, Maddy and I headed out into the snow squalls for some fun snowy junior year portraits. We choose a local park in Gloucester Township, that has a beautiful lake and was right down the street from both of us! Tuesday’s wintery mix laid the perfect white snow on the ground, but the rain made it icy and a little slippery. As we slid our way out to the lake, we started laughing that there were geese walking around on the ice doing better than we were.

Maddy nailed her winter, snow outfit!

Happy 2nd Birthday Life! | Two years of Blogging

Happy 2nd Birthday Life! And fourth year of business | New Jersey Senior Photographer

OMG! I can’t believe that Life has been TLM Productions’ blog for two years! I feel like I just started blogging yesterday about my amazing clients and sharing some tips. I love taking care of Life, because everything with TLM is like taking care of a child. After all they say starting a business is like raising a child, while I don’t have any kids of my own yet, I do have a few furry babies. They are my world and sometimes drive me crazy with their games and fighting.

TLM  and Life are my babies and watching them grow has been amazing! To help me celebrate, all of TLM and Life’s moments the past year, my furry babies helped me with celebrate my other babies this year. We went to our local park to play and celebrate Life.

A Leola, PA Couple’s Wedding Portraits at the Inn in Leola | Stephanie and Shawn

A Leola, PA Couple’s Wedding Portraits at the Inn in Leola | Stephanie and Shawn

It’s a beautiful sunny late June afternoon day, and Stephanie and Shawn are going to stand up in front of their friends and family and say “I do.” The Inn at Leola Village, which is just outside of Lancaster, PA, made for a perfect backdrop to their fancy, country themed, wedding. I had the pleasure of being a photographer for David Tutera Photography.

When I arrived, I met with the groom Shawn, and we headed to the groomsmen’s room to capture some fun photos of them getting ready. I asked Shawn if he had a theme that he wanted me to capture as part of the men getting ready. He told me that, “We have a super hero theme, the groomsmen are all wearing socks that represent different Marvel and DC Comics. My cousin would have been my best man, but he passed away while serving in the US military. He was and is my hero, so I am wearing camo socks with his badge and the American flag that was on his uniform.”

The two ring bearers were adorable, one liked playing with the pool balls and the other one asked Uncle Shawn for help with his bow-tie.

The guys all looked dapper in their tuxedos and super hero socks while looking like they were on a movie set.

Stephanie looked amazing as her dad walked her down the aisle.

I’ve seen different ways to symbolize the joining of two families and their pink and blue sand was a wonderful way to show their families becoming one.

Congratulations Stephanie and Shawn!

Highland High Senior Soccer Collages | Blackwood, NJ

Highland High Senior Soccer Collages | Blackwood, NJ

Smoke Powder is an athlete's collage to show their athletic season. With 15-20 images, Smoke Powder collage is worth over a 1,000 words. The wow factor of this action collage will leave anyone who sees it, wanting onw too!

I love all the different aspects of photography, portraits are where I focus, but sports might be the most fun and challenging for me. I started photographing soccer when my sister was in middle school, at that time I had a long way to go before I could even say that I was a sports photographer. While I didn’t think that I would still be shooting sports 6 years later, I am so glad I kept with it. I now love shooting sports and creating special one of a kind action collages for athletes.

This year, I was hired to create action collages for all 23 seniors on the Highland soccer teams. I was nervous and excited to accept the challenge of shooting 10 plus players at each game. If you have tried to photograph a soccer game before or even just watched a high school game, you know the players are on and off the field and move fast. While it took me a game or two to know all the athletes names and numbers, the excitement and quick on my feet thinking along with the jumping up for a header, out running the defense, and of course the game winning goals, made these collages look amazing!high-school-senior-sports-collage-2 high-school-senior-sports-collage-6high-school-senior-sports-collage high-school-senior-sports-collage-6high-school-senior-sports-collage-3high-school-senior-sports-collage-7

It’s The Time of Giving Thanks | South Jersey

It’s The Time of Giving Thanks | South Jersey

It’s amazing how time flies, I feel like we were just here. The holiday season starting this week, but it was a year ago that I was writing a blog similar to this. Thanking the people in my life, that make my life possible. If you are a small business owner, you know the first few years can be a little rough as you are building from the ground up. I have been in business three years now, and WOW! I still feel like I’m that 21 year old that has no idea about the world; and yet I have built a successful photography and videography company.

family

There are no words that I can write other than thank you. My family has been a huge part of my success and will continue to be; Renae, inspires me to be more creative with every action collage and senior session I do. Tara, has come up with so many great marketing ideas that helped me grow a following on social media. My parents, what can I say, they have been amazing the past few years. I know it was not easy for them, but they let me live my dream anyway. Matt has been so supportive and willing to help when ever he can; I always seem to need help with my computer, haha.

thankyou

This year I want to thank a few more people.

Tonya, has been amazing this year. She has been a client of mine for a few years now, and this year she has helped me grow within the sports photography world. I started off only doing a few action collages a year to this year doing 23 collages just in the fall season!

Suzanne, I meet earlier this year when her daughter stopped by for Renae’s prom portraits. She is now a client and amazing at helping me market to new groups.
