It was a warm July afternoon a few days before Independence Day, I meet Dan and Dionna in Wildwood, NJ. We had been planning their session for a little while, when it was decided that the sunset over the bay would be the perfect location for them. We headed to the Jersey shore with the hundreds of others that were spending their Fourth of July weekend at the beach.
What better a place to spend a summer off from college than at the beach with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Dan and Dionna are doing just that! They went to high school together and reconnected on Thanksgiving Eve in 2015, but it was not until February of this year that they started dating.
The beach loving couple were so much fun to work with, it seemed like I was just another passerbyer as these two laughed, joked, and smiled through the whole session. It was as if I was not there at all, and the colors of the clouds in the amazing July sunset made for a beautiful backdrop for this gorgeous duo.
When you look up prom on Google you will find article after article, picture after picture, and checklist after checklist. These articles and pictures and checklists tell you “everything you need to know about” prom. Today prom is so much more than just a glamour night, the lead up to the dance is a big deal now too. Promposals are asked, girls spend the afternoon getting ready, the guys pull on their jacket and pick up their dates, and meet up with a group of friends for group photos. For Renae and Tom, they go take pictures before they meet up with the group.
These two are so much fun to work with, I’ve posted about them before. Our high schools have junior and senior proms because the classes are pretty big. Renae found a beautiful lake with a water fountain in the middle of it. As beautiful as the lake was, Tom and Renae made the lake look just like a lake, because they looked stunning all dressed up.
While we had a great time shooting, it was nothing compared the amazing time they had at prom.
Kelsey was so much fun to work with. It may have been almost 90 degrees, but Kelsey’s down to earth country style and love for our country and sports made for a wonderful session. The lake at Washington Township lake park was the perfect backdrop for her southern style.
Kelsey’s sweet smile shined through the session, and her smile when she saw the pictures got even bigger. I couldn’t wait to continue shooting with her after an amazing time in front of the lake, so we moved over to the athletic fields. Kelsey will be playing lacrosse in college, and we wanted to capture the amazing athlete within her.
Today is TLM Productions’ 40th blog! It’s crazy to think that we have been blogging for over a year now; bring you 40 different tips, tricks, ideas to try, and the amazing stories of our wonderful client’s sessions. We are celebrating one lovely couple today.
It’s hard to say nowadays, life has changed but we all still believe in the values. Life is not always easy, someone once said “Life is like a rollercoaster, you can either scream or throw your hands up in the air and enjoy the ride.” This couple has been together for 40 years, they followed the saying for sure; celebrating them and their amazing journey.
We had a lot of fun during our session and I look forward to shooting again with them.
